Frequently Asked QuestionsWhere do you store your display? Everywhere we had an empty space. The electric bill for the 6 weeks is around $600. There are over 500 strands of C9 and C7 lights in the display. We do not count the lights on the evergreens and bushes or the ones in the back yard. The display is wired to a separate service on the garage. We could not do anything in the house so it had to be moved! It is a 200 AMP service. Currently there are 20 circuits and a multitude of meters, relays and underground wires. Since this was redesigned a few years ago there are a lot of extra extension cords! I built the Ferris Wheel myself. I made the first design in 1992 and rebuilt it about 5 years later. I am getting ready for design #3. That is top secret. That is what my wife calls bathtub engineering! I think of things to add to the display when I am relaxing in the bathtub & when I run out of hot water I get out. Come to think of it, I am running out of water a lot faster than I was last year. Hum? No we do not ask for donations. This is our way of giving back to the community. We have received Christmas cards in the mail addressed to Peteyville with cash. A picture was on the news in Chicago once. But feel free to take a video and submit to all the television stations!
